Casting spells on stacks

I would find it convenient if I coulds cast a spell on several units at once. Currently I can only select on of the units and have to open the spellbook 9 times to cast a spell on every unit. Would it be possible to select several units just by clicking once on each and then cast the spell on all selected units? The selection should work kind like a checkbox. On click selects the unit and another click deselects it again. I don't think it is an important feature but sometimes it would be very conveniant.

Its pretty rare, for me, that I would ever do this so I hadnt considered it before.  We did make a change in 0.85 so that when you opne the spellbook, the last spell you can is selected.  For me the most frustrating part was having to look through the spellbook to find the spell again.  Though that happened more frequently outside of the same stack casting if I was casting spells on multiple stacks, multiple cities, etc.

As I said I don't do it often too and I think the preselection already solves it in parts. Most of the time when I fight dragons I will cast the Nature's Cloak on everybody. I'd rather have this checkbox behavior for selecting units in a stack, but I it would interfere with the behavior that the stats of the unit I clicked on last are shown on the left. It would probably be confusing if I would see the stats of the last unit I deselcted.

Strategic spell hotkeys would be awesome.  Using the numbers for different map views is pretty silly, imo, when you can adjust the map how you like at any point anyway.

When it's dragon-fighting time, I'd love to be able to slap nature's cloak on my whole stack. Other than that, i too would rarely have to use such a feature.

I use it for elemental resistances and tutelage as well.  I would have cast tutelage on more units, but the repetitious nature of it kept me from doing it not the mana cost.

It would be cool to see this (and other types of selections) to bring up the unit selection dialog where you would click on each unit you wanted the spell to affect, with the total cost given below. Clicking again on a unit would unselect it.
