[BUG] Capturing Outposts | Victory Conditions | Diplomacy

http://www.2shared.com/file/yeEZYwnS/LegendaryHeroes.html

Hi everyone,

1.) maybe i missed some changes from FE or i don't know i can't walk over outposts with my army and therefore not capturing the outposts (which initially was mine^^).

2.) I usually like to play FE or LH without the spell of making or the master quest, because i don't like to be my 4x games a speed race (of course personal preference). So i disabled the two options but two of my opponents seem to build the required buildings anyway and with that having the utterly wrong strategy to win the game and furthermore wasting valuable time and costs to go down this road.

3.) I don't know if this is a bug or just unpolished AI, but the diplomatic behaviour of the AI is more than questionable. quiet often they declare pretty often war against me and just several turns later to offer peace (after failing to conquer my towns) and several turns later just to declare war again. one further annnoying problem: i proposed a economy treaty with pariden (in hope of better profit and maybe relationship improvements) where i needed to pay around 170 gildar....just 2 turns later, the declared war on me (just bad luck?!). i'm not new to the 4x genre so this problem is  quiet familiar with me :). (hints at civ5 and distant worlds :) ).

the uploaded rar-file see external link) includes my LH folder from my document directory (if it helps to reconstruct the issues).

Regarding #2, the spell of making buildings provide extra shard power.

But the other factions seem to get upset when you start building them even though you can't eventually cast the spell.

They actually only get upset when you start building the Tower of the Witch.  That might be a bug, maybe they should get upset with any of them.  But the way it is in .80, you can build the other 2 without the diplomatic penalty.

ah ok...thx, i was worrying that the ai was specializing their end game efforts towards the spell of making and therefore running against the wall :).

any ideas / opinions behind the outpost problem?! in the included save files i weren't able to take the nearest outpost ...the umber city southeast of my kingdom was originally also mine.

I'm not clear on what you mean about the outpost problem.  Normally in LH, if you target your army to move on top of the outpost you capture it.  If you target your army beyond the outpost, assuming that the path the game chooses for you will walk over the outpost, it won't, and you won't capture the outpost.

If you're unable to capture the outpost by moving your army on top of it, then you might have found a real bug (although one I've never seen).

at first i could rightclick with my army (+sovereign) on the outpost to set the path but they stopped exactly one tile infront of the outpost and wouldn't move on top of it. at this point i tried to give the command again but i wasn't able to set the move order to the thile were the outpost was placed (no reaction and no marking of destination).

That doesn't seem right.  For me, when I target the outpost with my army, the mouse pointer becomes the crossed swords indicating a battle, but it lets me right click and move onto the outpost and capture it.

in my case it changes into the cursor you have when casting a spell and if i rightclick on it, nothing happends...not even the marking of the destination. if i set the said tile as a destination maybe from 6-8 tiles away its marked as every normal tile.

Are you at war with the faction that owns the outpost? Maybe whoever captured it from you lost it to a third party you aren't at war with?

That makes me wonder if there is a caravan on that outpost square blocking movement. Or if you are just not at war with them. Maybe someone you are not at war with captured the outpost from the person who took it from you?

hmm...that would be funny if i just missed the peace declaration....but i can't remember agreeing to peace.
