[.80+.85 Bug] Can't clear wildland

For me, one of the most annoying problems with FE and now LH is when you can't finish a quest.  In this saved game, I've cleared all monsters from the swamp wildland, killed the boss Ruin of Summer (and got the Steam achievement for it), and taken all the goodie huts.  Yet the quest is still listed as incomplete.  I've reloaded the game with the -cheat option so that I could use control-U to see the entire map, and verified that there are no other wildland monsters that wandered off the reservation left to kill.  Please fix this!

I had this issue with a .75 game, not opportunity to try it with .80

You need to heal the land by clearing all of the goodie huts in the swamp. Some of them are hard to see, so switch to the clothmap, that should make it easier. I only had the swamp wildland two or three times in FE, but that is the way I cleared it each time.

I did that.  It still didn't clear.  Which is why I think there's still a bug.

I wonder if it is counting the troll lairs as goodiehuts, even though you can't remove them.

I don't know.  I know I moved my army on top of each interesting location (including the troll lairs) after beating the boss, in a vain attempt to clear the quest.

I did to... I basically tried to move all your armies on every spot there, nothing happened.

took a look at your save and we have some questions...  did you manually clear the wildland? like, did you hit the last goodie hut and nothing happened? was the AI in there too? could they have cleared it and then it didn't fire off? Is it possible that it happened over an auto turn? IE is that on in your game? Basically, what other info do you have to reproduce it? We manually fired off the event to check the wildland and it passed the check saying there were no goodie huts and then flipped... so it must have not fired the event for some reason when the last one was taken.

Thanks for the help

I manually cleared the wildland, and yes, I hit the last goodie hut and nothing happened.

I do not know if the AI had been in there before me.  I did not see any AI units in the wildland from the time I entered it until I defeated the boss and cleared all the goodie huts.

Auto turn was turned off, I never use it.

I might have a saved game from before I entered the wildland, but I suspect that if I do it would be from long before my army entered the wildland.  Would that help?

I think I might know what happened.  I had a problem before where I could not clear a goodie hut after I tamed the bear that was there, so if another sov/champion tamed something it could be preventing you from clearing the wildland because not everything is dead but it shows no wildlands units because it is tamed.

I can't verify that.  The only armies that were near the wildland were Altar, and later in the game when I defeated them I didn't see any tamed monsters in any of their armies, but I suppose it could have happened.

Yea actually that could be very helpful if we are able to reproduce it (we can cheat to clear it quickly)

Here's another one, this one from .85.  I've cleared all the goodie huts from the Pits of Namtur, and stopped my army on the iron deposit, the gold deposit, and Holhiarn for good measure, but the wildland won't clear.  This particular wildland doesn't have any wandering monsters, so I doubt it's the case where a monster army has wandered off the reservation.  One odd thing, there was a goodie hut labeled a temple on the spot where the arrow is pointing (or close to it), that did nothing when I stopped my army on it.

Saved game from when the screen shot was taken is here.

Saved game from sometime before I cleared the last hut is here.

I did manage to clear the Pit of Namtur that I pictured in my last post.  There was an unmarked goodie hut (a beast's remains) 3 tiles due south of where my sovereign's army is in the screen shot.  It was marked neither in the cloth map nor the zoomed-in strategic map.  I had to mouse over every tile in the wildland to find it.

not related to the wildlands but I have also had invisible goodie huts on my maps since .85
