[Future Content] Monster Requests for Stardock

[Future Content] Monster Requests for Stardock

Alright guys I figured I would start a thread for where we can put in a list of what new models/monsters we would like to see added to the game.  Please add to this, this is not so much a I want as a lets get a list of things we want as a community for a possible DLC.

My request is simple and may already be able to be done, but is beyond my ability to create.  Eventually I will append this with a total list of everything people have added to this thread.

Monsters requested: (Edited So Far 16 April 2013):

Minotaur (Perfect for a labyrinth dungeon pick your path final boss)

Giant scorpions

Ice Dragons

Evil Trees (I think Treants or for Lord of the Rings Ents or Huron's)

Beholders

Tentacles - (Not sure if a serious suggestion or not)

Hydras (Multi Headed serpent creature versions, my suggestion for today)

Zealot priests (With the ability to heal each other in battle)

Angels (doesn't have to be the wing-flap type)

Dawn Dragons (Good Dragons basically)

Vampires

A Spirit Naga

Sylph

Nymph

Harpies (Not Herpes)

Mana Devourer

Elder Dragons

Golden Lions(possibly winged)

Eagles

Great Stags

Sea serpents

Possible creatures for the seas, such as coastal skaths that spawn from the ocean and attack coastal areas.

Naga

Crabs (Giant ones I think)

Fishmen

Quoting Borg999, reply 25
Well, I think if they just change the appearance a little and rename it, that would be OK.

After all the "Blink" spell is essentially "dimension door" from AD&D, Blizzard is essentially Ice storm, etc.

Also, the new "wisp" monster seems very similar to willow-the-wisp from AD&D.

Besides, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
End of Borg999's quote

The willow-the-wisp is based on folk-lore, and those spells are not inherent to AD&D, so I don't think there is any problem with using them. The Umber Hulk, however, was created specifically for AD&D and is most likely trademarked. Just like Elminster or Mordenkainen.

Imitation is all fine by me, but in todays world, it just gets called 'plagiarism' way too often, and leads to yet another law-suit.
