Memory loss when loading?

Whenever I load a game which I'm playing (f.ex. when my beastlord ability fails :P), the game seems to slow down a bit. After a few loads it becomes really slow and the brackets around the units and cities stop showing. I then have to shut down the game and load it up again, after I load my game then it's fine. So it seems like there is some memory loss with loading the game.

I have that same kind of behavior even without louding a save game. I'm pretty sure there is some kind of lemory loss, but not about it's because of loading a game. But what I have: Sometimes when I load a saved game I have a CTD (not allways but regularly), so there really might be something wrong with loading a saved game on the other side.

I normally exit game completely and get a fresh start after 2 in game loads. Haven't had a crash in forever this way.

Completely agree, just mentioned it as using the work around is a lot less aggravating than crashes.

I've been having memory loss when loading too.  Sometimes the game takes so long to load, I forget what game I'm playing... :D
