[.50] [Bug] Monster starting on invalid tac map square.

Started a combat against this brood warrior's army. The black widow at the top of the screen started on a square that you can see has no top grid border. It isn't a valid piece of terrain to move onto. I confirmed this after I killed it, it was not passable terrain for my units. While I was able to attack it, and target it with the impale skill of my spearmen, hovering the mouse over the spider told me it was out of range.

I wonder if that's what I ran into last night.  I had a pure melee champion in a battle who was unable to move, and without any ranged or spell abilities he just had to pass.  He was on the edge of the tactical map just like your spider is pictured, but I didn't notice whether a grid border was missing.

I think it's a flaw in that maps design, I mean that tile should be accessable just like that rest that are in line with it? I always have the poor luck of spawning near it and having to wait to move my entire army around it, it functions like a bottleneck.

I've actually seen my champions appear unable to move even though the mouse pointer shows they should be able to. There were no highlighted squares showing their move radius. However, if there was a monster within what their radius should be, they were able to move to it and attack it if I right clicked the monster, but could not move if I right clicked an open square.

That's what I saw.  I'm in the habit of moving next to a monster and then attacking, so I didn't try right clicking a monster without trying to move first.

I've seen so many invalid starting positions in tactical maps that I've just given up on caring about them. And the tactical map with the giant statue/monument in the center has all the squares it's in as passable, so it looks like units are hiding inside the damn thing.

I have frequently seen enemy units starting on tiles that are the edge of a chasm, and even had a battle with  ruin of summer with ruin being out in the BLACK wilds (in Lost Help)

I've seen a lot of maps that randomly have a small 1 square bump (You couldn't even call it a hill, just rolling ground) in the middle of them that is, for some reason, impassable terrain.

I've run into these problems as well.
