Replacing traits
Traits with "levels" like Potential and Evoker, do they replace the earlier level trait, or do the effect stack? example: If you have potential II do you get 20% exp or 35% exp (15% + 20%)

The effect stacks... Last I played anyhow (Can't play the newest version due to crashes)

I actually thought they were replacements, so after reading Kongdej's response, I went into the game and tested it. Got my sov up to Potential III, and I had one of those books that gives 10xp, and I gained 18xp from it (I also had +10%xp from Brialliance and another +10% from Altarian racial bonus, so 15+20+25+10+10=80% increase, hence the extra 8xp from the book). Well, that makes it the upgraded traits much better.
Short answer for your example: You get +35%.
actually it wouldn't make sense otherwise for traits like evoker or summoner - each rank has the same effect. if they didn't stack, why would you spend 1 point on evoker II to replace the 25% boost from evoker I with the same 25% boost.
Stacking makes sense - if the buildings stacked too.
Not stacking on the buildings would make sense, if the character traits did not stack either.
As is, this is a silly confusing feature of Elemental.
Only problem with them stacking is the rubbish tooltips not reflecting the total bonus of Evoker II or Potential III when you go into your character screen to see what it gives.
I have asked them before to fix the tooltips to reflect the stacking nature of each trait, and for easier review of the additive benefit, but so far they haven't bothered.
Sincerely
