Steam Key for Stardock purchasers?

With the word that Legendary Heroes will be exclusive to Steam and many of us purchased from Stardock, will we get Steam keys? What about those of us who also bought the Map Pack from Stardock?

Lastly, great job so far.

I like the direction of including prepackaged unit designs because some players like me just use Henchmen most of the time, or dislike building units. I like the idea of having them there. You should also include Female Henchmen. Seriously, there is no reason for the role to be gender specific. There is a mod, but it should be in the base game.

You have a long way to go. Even Civ5 (released before FE) is still getting development so I hope the journey with FE is still young. Not that "FE is lacking X, so you need to keep fixing X" so much as "The journey has been good, and I hope it doesn't end soon".

I am shocked, literally SHOCKED there is no tribute to FE.

There should be an Erebus mod, or a few custom Erebus civ's as mods or something to pay proper homage to Derrick Paxton. I would do it myself, but I fear messing with anything that involves artwork. I would just do what FE did and replace the leaders with screenshots but no idea how. No offense, but I think it would be better to have. I know how to make 2d images for that, but not how to put them in the game.

From the FAQ for LH:

"Can I get Legendary Heroes on Steam?

Legendary Heroes is integrated with Steam. So everyone that gets it will have it on Steam, no matter where they purchase it from (even if they purchase directly from Stardock). Those players that will be receiving free copies will be receiving a steam key for the game."

and from Kael directly:

"People who have purchased the map pack will also receive it for Legendary Heroes."

I thought LH was released ONLY on steam, creating difficulties for those who bought FE from Stardock?

Wondering this as well. Got an email that the beta is now available but no key (so far).

[EDIT] Fooled by the 'mailing it to you as well - and of course immediately afterwards noticed it was on my Stardock account page

What difficulties?

If you bought FE from Stardock, then you can but LH from Stardock at the discounted price.  If you buy LH from any source (including Stardock) you will receive a Steam key for it.

If you are entitled to a free copy of LH (you purchased War of Magic before November 2010) then you will receive an email telling you that your game is available.  To get it go to your Stardock games on our website and your steam key for LH will be there.

Sign into your Stardock Account, Legendary Heroes will be sitting there waiting for you with a Steam key.

Awesome! That's what I needed to hear. I kept waiting for the email notice with the key. I got Brad's email explaining how I qualified for the expansion, but this was the line that threw me off:

The Steam key we will be sending you will give you access to the public betas of Legendary Heroes and the final version as well.
End of quote

Knowing I just needed to log into my Stardock account and claim it was very helpful! k1

Does this go for the Beta too?  I bought FE from Stardock; but when I sign in to my account, the only LH available is at 39 bucks.  No discounted price, no Steam Key (whatever that is), as the next poster blithely asserts.

Edit:  Oops.  Found the other tab for FE Owners which allows you to log in and access the $20 price.  Fair enough.

I think everyone misunderstands my question.

I purchased LH.

However, I am wondering about how to integrate FE and LH together if FE is from Stardock and I have no steam key as of now for FE or the map pack.

This is where my confusion comes from. I am not sure how to set my Stardock FE and Map Pack to "work" with LH from Steam.

And please, use Steam Workshop if you are going to press steam. May as well get full use out of it!

LH is a standalone expansion. You don't need FE to play it.

Regarding the map pack, Derek said: "We haven't released the mappack for LH yet. When we do you will be receiving it for free if you own the mappack for FE."

ahh, i thought of this as an expansion, as in "BTS" or "G+K", now I see that it is more like WoM and FE...?

Ah well, I am still a little confused about it, I am used to expansions "adding on" rather than "standing alone".

Still a bit confused about it, I will have to wait and see;

so far, nice job!  One of my re-roll reasons is now gone (start next to really bad champion)
