SPOILER senario boats

sail crazy

I'm playing the scenario for the first time. I built (/spoiler) the boat and sailed south, did the quest on the island, and no the boat won't go where I move it. It sails of everywhere except near my waiting army. (/spoiler) Is this a bug, or just my system? Oh, its a feature to guarantee sun bathing time on the beach?

It sounds like you might have turned on the "explore" function for the boat. Select the boat, click the "explore" button, and see if the boat becomes controllable.

Or build yourself a second boat at the home city.

I remember building many many boats my first time around ^.^, can't hurt.
If your boat is getting seemingly random moveorders each turn, you probably turned on "auto-explore" (This "feature" have caused more forum mayhaym than any other due to poor UI, you can't see whether its on or not)
I suggest clicking the "Autoexplore" one time, if it show a new path, click it again until the unit shows no path.
If this does not fix it, we need more info :D

Explore toggle works. Thanks. Perhaps instructions explicitly stating which buttons are actually 'toggles' might help some players.

End of ElanaAhova's quote

Its a simple UI fault if you ask me, the Autoexplore button should shown some sort of different animation when it is toggled ON. (I also think its the only button that works like a toggle for extra confusion)

Like the button is seemingly contuinually pressed down as long as the unit is exploring using the explore AI.

A shimmering magical aura, dragons flying around, a small UI village continuing building kites or swordsmen fighting on the button would work too, I don't care just change the UI ^_^

Anyways happy to see you working it out.

Oh, your suggestions for how to indicate to the user the current toggle status of the 'explore' button are interesting. May I suggest that when the toggle button, for the active/selected unit, is active/on, the button have a nice green CEO froggy smiling?
