[1.291] Not a Bug: AI City placed on a river

This is a modded game so I can't say for sure if it's a bug or just a result of me messing around with resource yields.  Either way, it's hilarious. :)

Did you have a high resource yield on that river square? I really don't see the problem really as in Civilization and even MOM one could and should setting on a river square as it produced the most of everything in those games. Why is Stardock trying to muster it out as a settling spot?

Is it really a river square ? I have seen many cases where a tile shows up as a river but the mouse over says it's something else (OK this is also a bug)

When someone settles Imperium all the rivers there act like grassland.

According to the city screen the yield was a sweet 3/3/3.

I think one problem is that there aren't any graphics for indicating that the city's town centre is built over a river.  Secondly, whenever I've looked at the map it hasn't shown tile yields in rivers, meaning that as far as the player is concerned, they still can't build on rivers, only capture AI cities built on them, unless the map - being a convenience for the player - is lying and I can build on rivers if I can find a spot like that one.

Okay so I razed the city and looked at the tile it was built on - says Plains (still looks like river).  So ulysses_31, you had the right answer. :)

Actually, that's not entirely true.  I loaded up my beginning-of-game save in cheat mode, revealed the map.  Lo and behold, it's a river tile. :P

It's Schrödinger's Tile. :P

Tiles changes state when you build a city upon them, similar to forests being razed.
Not saying its the culprit, just saying I have seen it do some odd things ;)
