Now I can't comment on skins.

boogers!

Yesterday when I opened FF to mine homepage, WC, where else lol, I saw Frankief's Christmas wall https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/wallpapers/48338/

I said to mineself...self...this is freakin' gorgeous! Anyway...I wanted to say so in the comments but.......all the smilies were gone, and having seen this before, clicked on the submit button and it goes to the top of the page. No submitting reply and no reply period. Testing Christmas 2012.

Perhaps it's the extensions you're using? Several of them can yield those results.

List your extensions, OK?

*note to Wiz - Uvah has always been an "Alien Visitor". hehehe. ;) j/k, Ross.  ;)

I checked it out and everything is working for me.  As always, if you are using ad-blockers or extensions that is the likely cause.

Nope. Had ad-block on FF. Disabling it made no difference. Unistalling it did. Dang Ad thingies, always messin' stuff up.

What ID said.

If you have an option to always allow on chosen sites then do so for WC and you'll have no problems with the commenting scripts..;)

Uvah, quit causing trouble, get back to examining the earthliings. Stick to the mission or return home. :ninja:

But......but.......Oh...alright. Just make sure you tell whatsis face that I did fill out the app and I'm still stuck on question 69AB c. The turnover keeps gettin' turned over. Go figure. Oh...and they don't like bein' called earthlings, its a derogatory term to them and might get you smacked with a wet noodle. Very not nice. One more thing......there's this clandestine group that uses the letters WC and SD as a cover for nefarious skinning. First time I ever heard of it. How does one skin a window? Might be a secret code or somethin' or a new plan thingy to take over the world. I gots to stick around a little bit and find out.

Nah, doesn't help to allow WC,  nor just disabling it/them while on WC.  The only way I found to be able to make comments on skins was to uninstall AdBlock Pro and NoScript entirely, which then leaves one open to ads and various other nasties out there... trackers and etc.  Nope, I'm not leaving myself open to that, not to mention damned annoying ads, so AdBock Pro and NoScript stay.

I don't really download much these days, but what I do when I'm impressed with a particular skin is PM the author with a thumbs up of approval.

So it does, and I use it that purpose; however, it does not stop the myriad of malevolent scripts or those annoying ads that refuse to go away. I hate nothing more than to be reading something and have this flashing banner ad right beside the article of interest... or down either side of the page, all these animated gifs vying for attention when you're trying to focus on something of importance.   Apart from being downright annoying, some of the more animated, brightly coloured ones can make me feel quite unwell, so it's not just about "I hate these effing ads", I need to block them.

Chrome with AdBlock Plus works fine here at WC. This what I use on XP. I'll stick with IE9 on my main rig, ads or no ads.

Chrome with Adblock caused some site errors though.
