[1.1]City names not displaying

from Elemental Forums


I am no longer seeing city names on the cloth map. Is there some key I may have accidentally pressed to turn them off? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no luck. I certainly hope this was not removed but for now I am going to assume I did something to mess my game up.

SO anyways to get city names on the cloth map back? The only thing I recall doing was downloading heavenfalls mod to bring back the leaders of umber and gilden but I highly doubt that had anything to do with it...

Anyways I have deleted all game content from the other FE folders and will see if that helps but I still want to know if this is happening for others and how to fix it if it can be fixed.

Nothing I have done has fixed the issue Im kinda bummed. I erased everything even custom units and sovs to be make sure I reinstalled on a clean slate.

I'm not saying it will make a difference but you might want to go the final mile and delete the game and reinstall it.  There is some game history of baggage from past versions causing grief in the current version.  It's hard to spot the culprit but things can get twisted if you have played the current version even once with old factions, sovereigns, or saved games involved so sometimes it's best to be sure and nuke em from orbit...

My city names have also disappeared.  I reinstalled the game but the problem remains.

Can someone who isn't seeing city names post your debug.err so i can see if we are getting any errors related to rendering the names.

Note: please go into the game and make sure you aren't seeing the city name (so that the error message will be written out) and then send the debug.err.
