[CRASH 1.02] Crash before start up

I know there is a posting for this already but I felt it would be best to post my problem in a separate thread. I have tried every fix and work around that I have been able to find on the internet and I have not succeeded to open the game a second time. I managed to play it once and I have no idea why. I think it was a sick joke from god to make me want to play the game even more :( I have tried a system restore to the time just before it started but I could not get it started a second time.

Anyways, my crash is not causing a debug file, or the zip file in my Program Data file. I am thinking it could be a software issue instead of it being a hardware issue.

I run windows 7 64bit Service Pack 1

quad core clocked at 2.80GHz with 12GB of RAM.

For graphics I run a  Gforce GTX 470 with DirectX 11

Language is set to Canadian English with system locale set to Canada

My computer is the Acer Aspire Predator AG7750-U2222

I took a screenshot of task manager maybe that would make heads and tails of what is happening?

Hi Geek,

sounds exactly like my problem:

https://forums.elementalgame.com/437433

My support ticket was opened on 24.10.

First answere (after discussing the stardock reaction times public in these forums) was on 28.10. asking to execute the stardock support tool. Which I did (my reaction time 6 hours).

Next answere from support was on 05.12 (reaction time 7 days). Asking to run sfc /scannow

(How-To:

Win8: http://sd.stardock.com/Rosco/pics/sfc_scan_8.png
Vista/7: http://sd.stardock.com/Rosco/pics/sfc_scan_vista7.png
XP: http://sd.stardock.com/Rosco/pics/sfc_scan_xp.png

)

Which I did (my reaction time 2 hours).

The ticket lies dormant ever since (Stardock reaction time 7 days and counting). So basically the support answeres once a week and did not provide ANY attempt on a solution yet, dragging their feet for almost 3 weeks now. My best advice for you is to try and refund the game.

The only one who at least tried to help was the Forum member Dwilson on the basis of us having almost similar PC rigs. I am utterly dissapointed from Stardock as of yet and if they wont kick in the high gear on their support, will avoid the company in the future.

Yeah this game is right up my alley of my kind of game so I am very disappointed. I was really impressed with Sins and GalCiv 2. I am hoping the new patch that looks like is coming out fixes the problem. If not I may have to try and get a refund. 7 days for a response would be nice.... I am currently sitting at 10 days for me.
