[1.02] Dragon fear not working?

I've noticed recently that dragons aren't causing fear at the start of tactical combat like they used to. I haven't seen any posts about it recently in support forum, and I don't think I had a problem before the 1.02 patch. I didn't notice for a while because I didn't have any dragons on my own side to fight with, and battles against them are rare. When I hover over the ability in their character screen the button is blacked out, but the tooltip still says fear will be triggered at the start of combat.

I just tested it and it works fine for me.  Is anyone else seeing this?

Works for me in 1.02. Both on encounter and when they are with my army (dream army of 3 stormdragons was impressive).

Fear makes you lose some number of turns (I think three) if you fail the resistance check. I don't think it does anything beyond that.

 

Also, Fear was working the last time I fought a dragon, but I'm not sure if that was in 1.01 or 1.02.

It was odd, but I noticed that mass curse wasn't working last game either, but now both of them are. Just fought an ashwake dragon on my new world and it properly feared me. Maybe it was an issue with that group of savegames?

I always see it trigger, but it never makes  a unit lose more than 1 round.

I see dragon always cast fear in start of battle, but I am not aware any troop had fear lost turn unless I happan to had high speed?
