Does Stardock support system work?

Being honest here...

So, awhile ago I sent an email to the Stardock support system asking about my missing free copy of Fallen Enchantress (preordered Elemental, got email from Brad about free copy, don't have my free copy).

Really? It's almost been a month and I don't even have a response - no email, no update in their system (only update is from me), it's still set to "open".... it seems pretty ridiculous dealing with this given I'm trying to find support for a free game...given to repay our dedication to a unfinished game...and it doesn't work. I wanted to give FE/Stardock a second chance here...

:annoyed:

Help?

Sorry, support is currently backlogged due to the combination of the recent holiday and release of Windows 8. While that is a problem in itself, unfortunately the support queue also sorts by last activity on either end, so sending additional mails before you get a response actually returns you to the back of the line.

I'll see if one of the support guys can take a quick look since you have posted your ticket number.

Where are you looking for FE?

You can access your registrations and download links by logging in with your Stardock account at https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products or installing through Stardock Central (currently in beta but available at https://www.stardock.com/products/stardockcentral/ ).

End of kryo's quote

If true, this would be funny if it hadn't screwed over so many people.

No, wait, something this stupid is still funny in spite of that.

I've gotten replies from support unfortunately the answers had indicated they do not understand the problem:

the patch system still blows away mount points. It seems that support is not aware of what constitute a mount point so here is the ms reference:

In support defense I must be the only one in the world using mount points :(
