Is it possible to stop my city producing mercenaries without destroying the mercenary camp?

I haven't found a way. I also tried to demolish the camp, but that wasn't possible either. Lots of expensive bandits keep spawning and me disbanding them =/

You can demolish the camp if you did not build on it yet. Nowadays i'm doing just that.

Once built, or once you conquer a city with a camp built, there is nothing to do but disbanding the unit, as far as I know.

Please, add a "Raze" option.

Agreed.  Raze would be very useful.  Or at least, give us the ability to turn off production of resources that produce troops.

Or make the mercenaries free. As far as i know, it's the only troop generated by resource that requires upkeep. Wildlings are free, ogres too, heck even a dragon is free once you get it from the camp.

And the same goes for the 'letter of marque'. It's a quest reward that really is a "white elephant" gift. Use it in the early game and you'll be ruined in no time.

Knights of asok says hello (they cost 9 to maintain - lol), by far the worst in the game. Not even that useful because the tech to unlock them is so deep in the tech tree.

Yea, it sucks, because they could be useful free troops.  If they worked like Ogres and had no upkeep, you could really get a use out of them, probably not a game changer or anything even then, but useful.  But at 9 gold a turn, they are crippling to an economy.

Fixed.  I've removed the wae costs form them and added a cost to use the Letter of Mark (thats why the maint cost was added in the first place).
