I tried as well... no luck. Try writing to [email protected] . It might be because it lives in the System32 folder...
Is any of this info helpful? You'll need to change a few things to point to sound recorder of course, instead of control panel.
Hi Wizard1956,
It's really a quest for me!! Would you be kind enough to show me how to point to the built in win 7 Sound Recorder? With tons of thanks..
Did you try putting
%25systemroot%25\system32\sound recorder.exe /name Microsoft.System
in the arguments?
Tks DrJBHL. Yup, tried, but still doesnt work. Btw, what am i supose to put in the Link box?
DrJBHL, Seems yours is working now... Do me a favour by pls type exactly what you've put in the Link and Arguments boxes? I may then find my way out... Many tks.
Give us a screenshot of what you've done so far... of what is working.
Please provide the complete path to your sound recorder.
Thanks.
In the Link box, i typed : C:\Users\John\Desktop\SoundRecorder - Shortcut.lnk

Hi Zubaz,
Here it is:
C:\Windows\System32\soundrecorder.exe
Try "C:\Windows\Sysnative\sound recorder.exe"
Tried. That's what i got from the pop up:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\Sysnative\sound recorder.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
