[bug] Library failure
Grabbing a library on the first turn before choosing a research topic , destroys all 20 research rather than storing it for when you do choose.

Which is why my guide says: "Before you even move your Sovereign on turn one, set a research topic"
It's not just libraries, other game locations award research which gets wasted if you do not have a topic selected.
Which should be a bug, since when you change topics from one that is boosted by a library, the rest goes into the next topic.
It's a long-standing bug which would probably be pretty easy to fix, so I hope they do so relatively soon.
Relatively low priority too probably. One of my first few games got shafted when research finished the same turn as spell of making was cast, stuck on ledger screen couldn't leave it. Annoying but infrequent bug, easy to work around. Similar to this issue. If the game prompted you to pick research as soon, but before you gained bonus research I guess that could be OK.
It would be nice if there was a site where we could log all the of the bugs for the devs to get to eventually. (An Example of the one used for Dwarf Fortress, which probably has as many bugs as it does features... Probably more :D)
And not only on turn 1 as far as I am concerned (I sometimes forget to set research, and the game just ignores me and my research produced for forgetting :P)

Yes...I would not mind the game auto-targeted Civics as a standar... The faction with civics already, then autotarget the next one.
Or an annoying pop-up to make you pick a tech to research...
