[Bug 1.02] Mercenary Camps

The tooltip for Mercenary Camp says it will generate 3 Mercenaries and 3 Hunters.  It created the units as described with a maintenence fee of 4.5 gold per unit. I have lost two of the Mercenaries. If I lose or disband any of the Hunters, the Mercenary Camp continues to generate Hunters until I have three. The 4.5 gold per turn to maintain these units is a strain on my economy. Shouldn't there be a way to raze the camp or at least stop production?

Unfortunately, this appears to be working as designed. In the future, I would recommend not building the Mercenary Camps. Also avoid building the Order of Asok, as Knights of Asok take 9 gold per turn each, and there are three units of them, but they are nothing like worth it (though they are closer to being worth it than the mercenaries and hunters).

This has come up several times in the past, and as far as I know none of the developers have commented on it.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I missed the other thread. Looks like this is an aspect of the game that Stardock still needs to polish a little bit.

Hmm last few games i built it i had no maintenance cost. Although that was before the last update or two. They are supposed to be zero maintenance units.

I originally saw this on 1.00 and after applying 1.01 and 1.02 I'm still being charged 4.5 gold. If they are supposed to have no maintenence cost this is definately a bug.
