We need a new faction weakness: inability to ride mounts.

For variety's sake and such. It would simply remove Horse Riding and Warg Riding from the research tree.

That would be a decent weakness. Removes horse riding and warg riding from the trained units, champions would still be able to ride. Not sure if the program supports otherwise.

Even if they didn't add this as a weakness but instead made it a trait where you lose the ability to horse ride and warg ride, but your troops all get +1 movement.

Is it just me, or does that sounds like a custom Yithril's wet dream?

kekeke ....

Sounds decent to me ;)

agreed. it'd be nice to see a faction that has no need/ability to spam horses or wargs

Yay, that would be nice, it's should gave m 3 point for that.....

First rebels now this. Community is trying to nerf me. :( "Down with taxes, no more warhorse," they chant.

Inhonourable, Sovereign/units doesn't/don't produce faction prestige.

Corrupt, -10% Gildar gain.

Hm, I would propose this rather as a race weakness than a faction one ;-). Let's say for a race that's too heavy or big to ride regular mounts like horses and wargs.

Interesting. But don't agree the +1 movement. If it is a weakness, it is a weakness...

It should be possible to make, as for example, juggernauts don't have mount choice.

Question: should the trait allow to harvest them, and use them as a tradable resource, or treat it just like a "horsephobia/wargphobia" (don't even harvest)?

It would seem logical that with this weakness mounted warfare and warg riding should get deleted from the military tech tree completely (-> no stables for outposts).

As for the question of havesting maybe horses and wargs should be handled like a food source in that case... never tried warg but horse meat... yummy ;)

I agree, assuming its a monster race, that horses and wargs should be used as food.

Otherwise (if its simply a cultural thing) they could just be used to increase gold and production (instead of producing "horses")

-> I mean, it'd make sense that they'd still be up for turning horses into slave labor.

yeah, just because you don't ride them doesn't mean that they wouldn't be used for food or labour.

Though, this would be a -2/-3 trait given how important horses/wargs can be in the mid-late game.

It's no worse than no armor.

Although, I guess as a weakness there is no reason to add functionality ... :(

Makes me think of the horselords trait which gives +1 materials for stables/ranches and an extra type of horse ^_^
