DLC Requests

I have seen some comments in a few threads about interest in DLC content in addition to the map pack recently brought up by Frogboy.    If we are going to get our interests considered by the game desighners we need to be clear and specific on what we would like to see.

IMHO it would be nice to see the following DLC:

1. Unique armor sets only findable by a series of quests.     Each piece of armor would have its own attributes but if you finished all of the quests and equipted all of the items in that set there would be other bonuses.     These quests should all be difficult but the better the set of armor that would be obtained then the tougher the quests would be.

2. More variety in the normal items found from individual quests.   Right now the pool of possible items to be found does not seem broad enough.  There should be a few more higher level magic items in this pool (sword of life drain?).

3. More new unique spells that would ony be unlocked by difficult quests.

4. Additional hero units available in the world only findable as a result of quests (rescue from dungeon, etc).   These should be unique in their mix of skills rather than the current more general ones found.    A hero unit especially good at healing others but nothing else?  A hero unit very good at killing specific creatures?

5. Additional very rare creatures found in the world.    A creature that would consume it victum and thus gain one or more of their powers?

Other ideas anyone?

I would like to see a full "Entrenchment" expansion with tactical fortifications and a better seige mechanic (and new siege oriented spells), with a scenario to showcase it.

Would love items sets. Also, how about dual wielding?

Mostly what I want is for the campaign to be continued.

Sandbox Story-Arc Quests.

Each Sovereign should have a bi-directional plot line to follow (if the player chooses to) in the sandbox mode BEFORE the Quest for RPG victory can be started.

What I mean by "bi-directional" is that each sovereign has their 'natural tendacy' and their opposition to that tendacy. As the player, you should be given the choice through the story arc quests to follow a good path or an evil path.

IMO, including this approach would help make RPG more balanced compared to the other avenues of victory. Granted, it still may be the easiest to achieve....but at least it's more time consuming.

I should probably comment, that since Frogboy has already mentioned that he wants to keep 'campaigns' in the campaigns; I would like to rebuttal again and note that Sandbox Story-Arcs don't HAVE to be campaigns. They can be loosely followed series of quests that your sovereign can follow if you decide to do so. The story of the campaign was EXCELLANT. I really enjoyed it. The concept of the 'campaign mode' however, I hate to admit (and it is only my opinion) sucked.

Lastly, on a side note, if you are attempting to persue the Spell of Mastery victory.....eventually everyone should be turning against you. No one should just be LETTING you win.
