overpower spells

guys, I just won a game with 2 most valuable spells in my hand, obtained after i got my heroes levelled up to Earth Archmage and Water Archmage

- to kill a lot column of enemy holding a city: use the Vetrar's Howl -with water shard of 5ea, you get +70 hit - -those juggernauts are really no match when their HP is reduced to only 20-30-

- to instantly weaken +10 cities enemy: use the Tremor spell - even the strongest stronghold will crumble to dust with only 300/400 mana in just 1 turn. This is somehow become exploitation since AI never use Tremor spell on my cities, while i can use the spell to literally all of their city.

Vetrar Howl is somewhat better since it has cooldown time. So you cannot use it so often against 3/4 armies until nothing left of them. But still it is very very overpower spell. Maybe +5 damage instead of +10/shard ?

Tremor, is very very overpower spell. adding a cooldown time of + 2 turns maybe will balance it. Or maybe adding another spell/building that will protect the city from elemental harm like this.

most of the strategic spells are a bit much. one of the biggest problems is that they're not tied to any particular unit, so there's nobody that someone could kill to prevent it being cast on them. Not that the ai is smart enough to attempt to stop you (or to use these spells against you)

their existence as massively powerful tools, that the AI cannot understand, use, or defend themselves against, is pretty broken.

Even tier 1 spells like Wither will become very powerful strategic spell in later stage of the game. But then, magic in general is very underpowered anyway. :P

Again, it's AI problem that AI does not use strategic spell well.

I also think it's a bit odd that there's no opportunity to counter Strategic spells.

Sorry, it wasnt Tremor, it was Earthquake. But still, it is too bad that the AI cant handle it, I was expecting massive army to counter my attack using blizzard and wall of fire though... X|

Or can we change it the cooldown time and the cost of it ? Does anybody know where to found the file responsible to it ?

I think it is an opportunity to create a mod for a specific building that will prevent a city from being harmed through water/earth/fire attack.
