Can't exit Steam or restart game after closing

After I exit the game, if I try to start it again I get an error message saying that the game is already running.

If I try to exit Steam from the taskbar, it says that Fallen Enchantress is still running and I can't close Steam.

In order to reboot Steam to restart the game, I have to open the Steam browser, open the Task Manager, "End Task" Steam and then restart it.

I can't find any information on this issue, either in Steam forums or here (or any other forum either - multiple Google searches bring up nothing.)

Any suggestions?  Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm running Vista 64 and all my drivers are up-to-date.

EDIT:  I just went into the Steam folder and found the Fallen Enchantress app.   I used that to start the game, and it starts fine.   Guess its an issue with Steam.  I don't have this problem with Any other Steam game, ... and I have lots.
