[1.01] Graphics issue: White trees on main map [Resolved]

This is resolved in 1.02!

As title says.  Sometimes trees seem to be completely white, then when you zoom a teeny bit closer, the green is filled in:

I have encountered this as well, in 1.00 as well as the beta patch (1.004?).  I have yet to download and install 1.01.

I will confirm it was in 1.0.  I have a middle range graphics card and thought it was just my system.  It would clear up if I zoomed in.  I haven't seen it yet in 1.01.

What graphics card are you running? Do you have the latest graphics drivers?

I see it from time to time. I attribute it to a loading issue.

Mine is an ATi (/AMD) Radeon HD 4850, with the last available driver under Windows 7 (dated July, I think ... they don't update the drivers as regularly for such older cards).

I've seen white trees too. In fact, they get white when inside the ZoC, at a certain zoom level. Zooming in and out solves it...but it is weird...

my card is nVidia 560, i think drivers are updated.

I don't know if this helps but if you have your Control panel AA-mode setting on 'Adaptive Multi Sample' then the map turns white when using ATI cards.  The AA can be turned, it doesn't matter, if the mode is set to this then you will have the problem.

Maybe the same apply's to Nvidia cards also.

I am running a AMD Radeon 6850 on FE 1.01 and I noticed this last night.  I'm not sure if it has to do with eventual garbage building up, but I had been playing for several hours.

Guess I'll have a look in the control panel then.

Nope, it's just set to default, Multi-Sample AA.

Okay never mind, unchecking Stylized Lighting doesn't fix it. :P

I get the white trees, too, but worse. Many of the other structures such as the buildings in the cities all go white as well. Zooming in and out doesn't help. Going back to the main menu and reloading the game doesn't help. I can exit the game completely and restart, then it's fine for just a little while. Turning anti-aliasing on/off doesn't make a difference. Downloading and installing the very latest video drivers didn't help.

I see other graphical glitches, too. Strange "phantom" lines that run across the map. Once during a battle, all the plants and trees started flickering little black and white pixels. Once the screen got into this habit of flashing as my army moved across the map. Sometimes without warning, the screen will suddenly go white, with a blue gradient on the left and right side, for a few seconds, then go black for a few seconds. Sometimes when this happens, it will actually return to the game and everything will seem fine. Other times, the game crashes with a DX error.

It's annoying enough it makes me not want to play the game, just because of the numerous graphical issues.

Some details on my setup:

Win 7 SP1 x64
2x Nvidia 570GTX SLI
i7 CPU 3.2GHz
6GB RAM

Any advise is welcome. Thanks in advance for any help. I suspect, though, another patch will be in order for this.

Nvidia GTX 460.  Latest drivers.

It does happen in 1.01, also.

I'm also seeing this issue with 1.01 that that did not happen in 1.00.

Whenever I have a horse mount, my champion/sovereign appears sitting on the horse AND the horse is replicated ON TOP of him as well. It appears correctly in the medallion, but doesn't appear correctly on either the strategic or tactical map.

I get this too but it's only temporary when I am zooming in and out of the map.
