To help encourage modders, we should put up some links to modding resources and popular mods.
Use this post to make requests for what should be stickied.
How about a master links list being the first most prominent sticky? Closed to posting. When users see a new post icon afore the stickied thread, they know new info has been added.. cuz only SD peeps post there. User seeks info, comes to the links sticky and follows the hyperlink appropriate to their query.
I would like to see this get stickied: http://forums.elementalgame.com/415216
It's so people tag their threads appropriately, which helps modders and users.
Please do not sticky mods, it creates a mess and makes it difficult for new mods to enter the "market".
The Sovereign Modding Pack was released for E:wom and it is 100% usable and relevant for FE mods: http://forums.elementalgame.com/401142
Here are some threads that I have posted before that should be linked in a "master list" for tutorials/info:

Have you guys thought about creating monthly challanges for modders such as favorite stamp, map, quest asset etc. Ithink it would generate alot of interest and lead to a bigger database of items. It would also be fun and make a good sticky.
It would be nice if there were separate stickies listing [eWIP], [eMOD], etc.. that just link back to the developers threads. I find myself having to dig back through the forum pages trying to reference one person's mod work which could be a dozen pages deep.Downside would be that your forum moderator would have a little work to do listing new entries into the stickied reference post. Might be alleviated by asking the person listing a new Mod reference to send the Forum Mod a PM with forum link so that it could be more readily reviewed/cut/pasted/updated.
Any chance to sticky this?
One more voice asking to unsticky all the individual mods, and create a new thread linking to all of them instead. The number of individual mods stickied on this forum is unwieldy.
My answer to the question What would I like to see stickied? "Less".
Please compile a list of links instead of linking all these individual mods. This is my biggest pet peeve with any forum: sticky bloat.
I know it's been said before, but I figured I'd post more than just +1.
Brought the game a couple of days ago. Just downloaded my first mod but can't work out how to use mods. Searched for mod in the manual nothing. A brief tutorials on using mods for idiots like me might be an idea.
zharg, first extract the mod into your 'my documents\my games\('fallen enchantress' OR 'Legendary heros' depending upon the game you have and are playing and the mod is for)\mods folder,
second in the options for the game make sure that the option for 'use mods' IS marked, the mod should then work unless the mod requires replacing the core files in your steamapps\gamename\english folder (some mods do NEED this as fe/lh do not ignore the core game files when a file replaces it in a mod.
hope this helps
if anything I think links to well organized mod websites are more valuable than links to individual mods
less forum maintenance too so it's all good for you guyz.
example : http://fallenenchantress.nexusmods.com//?
I'd also like a stickied thread where modders can promote their mods and briefly explain what they do so that end users like myself can get an easy overview of what's available. Such a thread would be highly useful as a sticky!
Almost all active mods are currently for Legendary Heroes vs. Fallen Enchantress, in which case the (already) stickied thread you are looking for is here:
What's probably confusing is that the Legendary Heroes subforums are not children of the Fallen Enchantress subforum, so if you go there you might easily overlook them.
