Frogy - did u guys expect such LIVELINESS on forums?

I am quite surprised and astonished!

So many great ideas floating around, such good folks and good modding, so many ppl trying to point to bugs and errors and needed corrections....feels like a family...even with arguing..

Good to be here.

Bring 4 packs to Steam, I wanna give game to friends.

I have to say, our forums are everything I dreamt they'd be. We have such good discussions here.

It's extremely rare to lock a thread here.  I do tend to change the titles of threads to make them more specific (i.e. "Game is too hard" to "Monsters attack too early") but otherwise, there's extremely little moderation here.

Frankly, as a regular on forums, I'm not quite certain WHY these forums require so little moderation. The current internal theory is that FE, as a turn based strategy game, attracts a different (i.e. older) demographic. That's the best theory we have right now.

I don't know, the Paradox forums can be batshit at times.  They just announced their first fantasy DLC ever, and the Paradoxians went ape shit.

You should definitely assign one person to just collect the wealth of info and suggestions.

There is material for new game as well as superfaction of the FE as is...

Thats not about age, but about the kind of ppl capable of enjoy strategic game, instead of complain about everything, they like to think and solve problems.

Is that good or bad?

Frogboy, since you're checking this thread, what about Steam workshop? I know its not Steamworks, but I mean Elemental + Steam workshop is a huge and good thing for this game. Please consider making this a steamworks title

What is this Fantasy DLC u speak of?

Wizards in Crusader Kings you say? Warlocks and Werewolves as well?

I love the forums here, but is there any way we can get all of the bug reports out of general discussion. The general discussion forum should be dedicated to gameplay discussion, strategy, etc.

What?  You mean the Aztecs didn't invade England in the 13th century ACE? 8O

I have noticed that these forums are so much more mature and can carry a discussion and even arguments without them devolving into trolling and ignorance. I am a regular with nearly 5000 posts on another forum and the forum is large and has a huge moderation team that has a turn-over rate higher than a McDonalds griddle.

Bad.  They freak out at everything and go on crazy rants all the time.  Bat shit = Bad+crazy.  Ape shit = mean+crazy.

The Fantasy, isn't high fantasy, it's just the Aztecs invading Europe.  Pretty much the opposite of what happened, this time the Aztec find Europe first, invade, sacrifice, and bring deadly diseases.  Sounds like a fun idea.  But these people freak out at everything.

There are also no discussions permitted of politics and religion. That helps.   Plus, the game's genre and difficulty tend to filter out some people who like action, arcade, and RTS titles, and typically show little maturity.  Which isn't to say that all those people are like that.  But it's admittedly easier to get a 12-year-old interested in action games than in a TBS.

Now, if they put Procipinee in a leather corset, they might grab some of that audience.

And yes, I'm joking.  <_<

Correct me if I am wrong here, but Valve makes the game producers include their Steamworks DRM in the game if they want to be able to use the Workshop.

You see, this is how craaazy Stardock's made these forums. If you want order on the forums, Frogboy must take off his avatar and implement multiplayer. Oh, and every day he doesn't, people will troll. Starting tonight.

I'm a man of my posts.

The quality of people is what attracted me to the forums back in 2007. There is nothing I like more than a lively theoretical debate about archer range.

I think the Stardock team deserves most of the credit.  You freely interact with your customers so they aren't just arguing amongst themselves.  This leads to competition for your attention through good ideas, humor, etc.

The demographic certainly helps but without your teams' posts the forums would quickly devolve.

Interactivity with community. That rocks.

Please bring more besides frogboy. Not that I mind him but we would get more mingling which is good.

Hello!
I'm new here but I've been lurking around for some time. Seems like a really nice forum. And funnier than actually working... B)
Also, really nice to see developers here. Keep up the good work, the game is awesome!
