double stats

I copied a few files to the mod folder and edited them. At first they worked correctly, but now everything is listed twice. ie the game is reading both the modified and original file and listing the stats from both. I have tried deleting the files and starting over, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing fixes it. I also cannot find any info about fixing it, even though I remember running into this issue with the first game too. I'm just about ready to uninstall and forget this game as well. :(

There are some bugs with modding certain files. The only way to be sure is to backup the files in the game folder and then replace them with your modded ones. No need to quit playing.  :grin:

If you ever change some of the core files, you might need to run in admin mode (once) for changes to take place. When you replace them in the main folder.

Thanks for the replies. A little sleep cured most of my frustration. :) I guess overwriting the original files is the easiest solution, although I had been trying to avoid doing so. I originally started out that way, but hoped to take advantage of the mod folder.

I would bet dollars to cents that these mod bugs will be fixed. The devs just haven't started that kind of prioritizing. We are at least on their radar now.
