Need Help! Rearranging Spell Hotkeys

Hello,

 

This is probably a silly question and I'm likely missing something simple, but I can't rearrange my spells in tactical combat.  It's really driving me nuts.  I go to the spells mini menu, and try every variation of clicking and pressing the key I want, but all to no avail.

Anyone able to give specific directions to help me spot what I'm missing?  Thank you!!!

Click on the spell you want to hotkey, to do that click the circle part after the text.   Then click on a number 1 thru 7 of where you want it to go.

When I click the circle it just counts as attempting to cast the spell, if that spell isn't the type to just instantly start channeling (for example needs to be targeted) then when I click a # it simply casts that other spell.

Um..  let me try to be more detailed..

1) Click Spells Button

2) Find your spell you want to hotkey in the list of spells.  There should be a darkened out circle to the right of the spell's name.

3) Click the darkened out circle.

4) Now click one of the number slots 1 thru 7.

Thank you.  I figured it out!

 

Just in case anyone was in the same boat; after clicking the star I was pressing the keyboard from number 1 to 7, instead of the actual slot itself on the spell bar.  A silly mistake, but for some reason it took me a while lol.
