I guess release version will donwload, through Steam, only the necessary files to update the beta...the process might be as downloading a patch....

but who knows? Maybe it will download full version...

I've bought the Fallen Enchantress Beta on the Stardock website and can download it from 'My Downloads'. But Id rather have it on Steam. Is there any way to convert the digital download version to a steam key?

Steam automatically updates.  You wont need to uninstall.  We recommended beta testers uninstall today before they update to the new version just to clear out any lingering junk that we've around around in all our various betas and verisons.  From here on out it updates and you are set.

Every update will be made available to everyone, regardless of how they got it (steam, impulse, direct, etc).  Steam players will get it automatically, direct customers will download and install a patch.

You cannot transfer your key from direct to steam (or to another digital retailer).

My version is FREE so it comes directly from STARDOCK not from that crappy steam site. :) I will get the latest versions and the latest updates BEFORE those who have Steam versions as well. :) Because I am SPECIAL. ;)

Defintive Steam answer - It will (and certainly should have done by now, unless you have been offline) update FE automatically.

I see the perks have been balanced when creating a new kingdom/empire - fair dinkum I 'spose, tho I will miss my overpowered enchanter perk ;)

Ok I forgot to uninstall beta, so Steam downloaded the 1.0 patch. Now, I can play 1.0, but the previous factions I created on the beta are still there. I even deleted the

My Docs\my Games\FallenEnchantress\Units and the \Races but, the factions are still there...

Will I have to unistall and reinstall the game to clean those previous factions?

No other easier way to delete old factions?

just go into your 'my documents\my games\fallen enchantress' folder and delete the races and units folders, then start creating them again
