[0.991 Bug] Wildland ZoC Release Delayed

Wildland ZoC doesn't immediately disappear on killing the elemental lord.  Also not game breaking, but a polish thing.

So, it was open the following turn? All ZoC stuff seems to take place the next turn instead of immediately, which causes some strange issues when you expand your city but the ZoC isn't updated right away.

It fixed itself in the next turn or so, I don't remember exactly.  And I could settle there / cast lower land there that same turn.

It's not a problem for me, and probably not for most of the people who've been with the beta for months.  But with the game releasing in a week, a new player is going to have just killed an elemental lord for the first time (definitely a WOW moment in this game) and immediately encounter a bug.  It'll kill the buzz.

This is another great example of the end user experience being overlooked.  The underlying game mechanics are simply brilliant, but the means by which they are experienced leave much to be desired.  A critical reviewer must not encounter something like this.

Actually, if it's meant to be that way (if not - bug) then there could at least be some text after finishing a wildlands telling you that soon it will "become a verdant preserve waiting for colonization" or something fanciful like that.  Then as a user I would have the expectation that something would resolve itself.

And expectations are everything :)

+1 My favorite game was Alpha Centuari, Replaced MOM, and this does better than both, now that I can work around these snags.

The reason that I'm beiing so critical is I want FE to succeed

That's the way about ALL things in FE that update do so - on the next turn.  Even some victory conditions don't trigger until the turn AFTER you fulfill them.  Maybe the next turn updating should be mentioned in the tutorial and Hiergamenon with some lore-driven reasoning? =) ;-)
