I have this problem too.

Try running this on Admin mode, I had this problem on the last patch.

Popular earlier fix to this was running the game in "Administrator Mode" (Right click on the shortcut or exe file, and click "Run as Administrator", try this.

Running in Admin mode should fix this problem. For future reference if you change any of the core files (for a mod) you will also need to run the game in admin mode as well, for the game to detect the change.

Always need to run in admin. God damn you microsoft for not having an option for this. They really make you jump through the hoops each time.

Are you sure you want to run the program that you just right clicked, clicked run as administrator?

Yes                                                             No

Are you really sure?

YES                                              No

Take some time and think about it. These things are important.

YES                                             No

Did you click that by accident? I do that all the time.

Yes                                             No

To run as admin, you need to buy the premium edition. It's only $100 more. Do you want to buy it?

Yes                                          I'm suing

Yup, my trees are gone, but their insidious movement penalty keeps catching me by surprise! Running in administrator mode didn't fix it.

My guess is that it's an install issue.

Did you patch or did you do a clean install?

and

If you did patch from the previous version, had you modded that previous version (like update the XML)

it was the administrator thing. i patched to .99

i have my trees back tks all.

Hmmm, I didn't start a new game after running as administrator, maybe that's it. No modding the XML on my part!

I updated with patch.  I had no modifications, I deleted all created units and nations before the patch.  No trees on new game.  Quit, restarted in Admin mode, and trees are there.

That's strange.  I too used the update, but I did not run in admin mode (my user account is not an admin one) and I have trees in my game.

EDIT: I didn't even delete my old units/Races/Sovs...
