So, I have preordered Demigod and bought Elemental : WoM

What should I do now ?

Hello fellow gamers ( and developers ),

 

I'm in quite of a dilemma.

 

So, I have preordered Demigod because I tought this game would be great, the launch was awful and the game didn't live long at all.

 

I then stumbled upon Elemental, I tought the concept was great but I didn't really trust Stardock anymore, considering my Demigod experience.

 

I bought it one year later, during a sale and felt ripped off again because of the bugs and the flawed game mechanics.

 

Now I see that FE is gonna be released and people says it makes Elemental fun and playable.

 

So I'm asking you guys, is FE really worth my 30$ considering I felt ripped off ( again ) buying WoM for 20$ ? Are the improvements THAT great ?

Is the game worth 30 bucks? Yes, it is. Are you going to feel vindicated, as if it was worth 30+20+demigod? No.

 

Wait for reviews if you're not sure.

I would wait for reviews and some youtube videos before buying. There is no reason to play 9 days early with the beta if you are not 100% sure you are getting your money's worth. That said, this is my favorite game of all time. I am sure you will love it when you do decide to buy it.

Heavenfall and Sean sum it up well. I blindly preordered WOM after Stardock's trackrecord with Galciv 1 and 2 which I both really enjoyed. Was very, very disappointed with WOM and thought the game was beyond repair. But since reluctantly trying the first beta of FE my confidence in Stardock as a game developer for great 4x games has been restored. Ever since beta 2 I got a lot of enjoyment out of the game. I would wholeheartedly recommend it but would fully understand for you to read the first reviews or follow these forums shortly after release.
