[0.983][Bug] Female henchman???

I was making a mage support henchman for my melee Sovereign Life 1, cook, and bard planning to use books to add extra magic.

After designing the henchman I decided to make him a her and clicked female.  I then ended up with a normal unit with the above traits and no influence cost.

Playing around I discovered that you can use the male or female buttons to give henchmen only traits to normal units.

A similar issue exists when building Juggernauts or iron Golems.

Good to see it reposted, been around for a while.

I thought the 3 options were Henchman, Male normal unit, Female normal unit.

The henchman is always male.

If they added a female henchman, would she be a Wenchman? or a Henchwoman?

Three new female henchmen: Floozy, Barmaid, Torch Burner.

End of quote

I don't think my henchman can read those books (Pariden's books right?).

Or did I miss something?

P.S. or did you mean Tech tree "books" (like third book of foo)?

Henchmen have a minor version of the magical levels.

They can read books.

Yes, they can read books, so I often give Life Adept and no other Adept traits to my Henchmen.  If gildar is tight, it is better to choose more starting Adept traits, but they only offer one spell per level and they only go up to L3.  It can get pretty expensive outfitting all those Henchmen with all the elemental books. =)

The exploit in the OP definitely needs to be addressed.
