[.983 BUG] Traded Magnar for 180 points of Warfare tech and got to use it to learn Civ techs

I should have posted the saved game or screenshots because you probably don't believe me, but trust me on this! After choosing the first Warfare tech to complete, I was able to apply the rest in the Civ tree and learn two more techs. I could have also applied it to Magic techs. I don't think that is the intent is it?
