[983] bug with npc casting counter-spell on create animal

I think this is a bug; one of my critter has the skill to summon animals (I'm not sure what you call the skill but it is the one that takes no mana). I'm not sure this is a normal spell that can be cancelled (since it uses no mana). If it is not; then the npc's try to cancel it via counter-spell (which always fail and therefore this post).

Hm, I am interested, what kind of "error" message pops up, does it say "Resisted" or "failed" when they try to counterspell, or is there simply no floating text?
I am asking  because I know the AI didn't account for spell resistance some beta's ago.
It would also be nice to know which critter is able to summon animals, I am sure the developers would appreciate that.

In the game it simply said fail; if there is a log i'm unsure where to find it. The hero who can summon critter are those with the "Call Uteran" feat (I have Liniad in my party but i've seen others).
