Regen working as intended, ignore

Casting regeneration on a unit results in no HP gain during tactical combat or between turns on the world map. I did not test the other regeneration spells/abilities. Trolls regenerated fine.

It should work on the world map. I dont think it works in tactical anymore to avoid kiting/cheese

Tactical regeneration has been removed from combat. Going to have to rely on healing spells and potions from now on.

Oh why did you have to mention that?  Now somebody's going to start screaming that the troll charm is OP and has to be nerfed or the game will totally suck.

Yeah, I'm afraid you're right. And then it will be the Tear of Cyndrum.

Yes, but you can use the troll charm on everybody in your army... It just makes uber champions and sovereigns. No need to nerf it as it won't heal your entire army during a tatical combat. Nor does it scale with shards ;)

Perhaps I should have added a <sarc> tag. <_<

I hate to tell you guys, but the patch notes said Troll Charm doesn't heal in tactical combat any more.  Have yet to test this, though.

Yeah, it was the scaling of regeneration that made it too good in tactical combat. Of course, now it's completely worthless.

At any point of the game, the level of the units that are worth the 1 mana maintenance is higher than number of life shards I control.  I.e. the healing from regeneration pales compared to the healing from levels.

What you are suggesting then is that regen gets a boost :)

What happened to regeneration show the difference between Mom and FE. In Mom, all spell, ability and capacity were great, have powerfull effect and utility. In FE, everything is weak and marginal. I could understand in a multiplayer game (like starcraft 2 ), it's important to equalize ability and spell effect to prevent them to umbalance the game. But in a solo game ? Seriously you remove all the fun.

For regeneration :

-in Mom --> High regeneration in combat (unit have less hp in mom), heal instantly after combat, make the unit semi-immortal

-in FE    -->  Crap regen in strategical map.
