[0983 Bug] Burning Blade Stacked So Much It's Radioactive!

The weapon on that picture is not radioactive yet, thats only 3 stacks
Try these games where he stacked it above 10 times (he has to have a big empire and lots of mana)

Yeah, 10 stacks and a couple more fire shards on top. Add a cloak of fear for extra sprinkles.

Seeing your screenshot reminds me: Please can we make the character perks show on two columns, so we don't have to scroll through them? Yes, it will cover some of the 3D model, but no one cares how a character's eyebrows look, we want to see all the perks at a glance. Thank you!

Yup, they need to fix spell stacking again

I'm not sure how you are getting multiple burning blades on a unit.  Is this only happening on AI units, from your screenshot it looks like Magnar is your unit.

I think Magnar is an AI controlled sovereign, and the player (AllanMandragoran) is playing a sovereign with Beastmaster, since it is 1 sovereign, 1 Cave Bear versus 1 sovereign and 2 stacks of trained units.

It was actually pretty cool seeing my champion become so small but seemed like a bug to me.

Hi Derek - Magnar isn't my unit. I'm vanilla Yithril with vanilla Verga. The OP shot is from a tactical combat with my sov stack against Magnar's. I clicked on Magnar's avatar inside the tactical in order to take the shot (after he 1-shotted me and I was like wtf!). AI Magnar is somehow casting multiple burning blades on himself (or I guess, maybe multiple champions are doing so and that's how the AI is getting away with it?)

Actually I'm vanilla Yithril but I got that belt that allows me to control one beast - thus the Cave Bear.   He got killed later by some archers so I was a sad panda... at least until I started cranking out Juggernauts.

Hi Derek - it's not from multiple champions doing it as Magnar is the only one in his faction who can cast it... so the stacks are a result of his ability only. However, please note he has 3 casts on himself... and he also, coincidentally, has himself and 2 other heroes. So I think something in the code is allowing burning blade to stack on one unit based on the champion count. This might explain why some people have reported 10+ stacks of burning blade, I think I've even seen that once. That might explain what we're seeing.

[Edit] Apologize for not being thorough in OP. Please note a number of turns have expired between the OP shot and the subsequent shot/save. In both examples Magnar has 3 casts on himself, but the power per each was 6 in the OP and only 2 in the later shot. I believe that is because he lost a fire shard(s) in the meantime. I've been hunkered down in the north part of the map.

Derek, this has been happening at least since .913.  I have this situation in pretty much every single saved game of mine, and I have a series of saves (in .98) which show Magnar going from 2 stacked blades on turn 11, to 3 on turn 22, to 5 on turn 30. I am sure that he kept going, I have saves every 3-5 turns until 90ish.

And no, Magnar did not have 5 champions on turn 30. I think it is enough that he has one in his stack, and keeps missing his target.

People have also been reporting the AI stacking Evade.  This issue is widespread.

Oh yea, I always forget those for some reason.

Got it, I already have a bug in on the AI being able to stack non-stackable spells.  I tohught the screenshot was from a player instance (a new issue).  We will look into it, thanks.
