Several level ability additions to an attribute, should show as one stack.

Hi there, have been annoyed at one tiny little UI piece for some time, its all over the interface, and just a waste of bloody space :)

Here you see 2 entries from Vital strike, this is not a bad example, but a quickly accessed one from one of my games.

I would love it to stack up and just show "Vital strike II: +3", instead of having 2 entries.

This should also be reflected in the other section where the traits are being shown (In that terribly ordered list where you can never find anything).

This would hopefully show "Vital Strike II: +2 to Critical Hit, +30% to Critical Hit Damage, For a total of +3 to Critical Hit, and +50% to Critical Hit Damage"

No matter if you change the first part of the post or not, that would help clarify the stacking traits, since right now you have to keep everything in memory, and that's just hard.

Sincerely

I thought it was a replacement effect? The Vital strike II +2 bonus replaces the Vital strike I +1 bonus, thus making the icon representing the Vital strike I actually very useless...

Consideringi that other abilities replace their coorisponding icons, this would make sense to me...

I am pretty sure most abilities that upgrade like that stack (and Vital Strike does as you can see in the first screenshot: 15 = 1 + 1 + 10 + 1 + 2).  Either way, the confusion suggests that they should adopt the OP's suggestion.  Though, I imagine it would require a new property in the XML to link attributes as stackable.

Nope, vital strike, lethal, swordsman, etc. all stack.  The bonus you see is the bonus you will get by taking the trait.  A simple fix would be for each trait to just say "stacks with [previous trait]"

Quick question: does anyone know how to check the critical hit multiplier?

End of Tuidjy's quote

It's hidden.  I think the starting bonus is +50%, but don't hold me to that number.  Regardless, it should show when you mouse over your crit chance.
