[0980 Bug] Missing Forests & Swamps - Haaaaayelp!

[0980 Bug] Missing Forests & Swamps - Haaaaayelp!

Derek - looks like this build broke something regarding my forest and swamp tiles - they no longer appear in the strategic map (but are on cloth). Now, a couple of weeks ago I had the same problem when I tried to install HF's rivermod - uninstall of the mod fixed the problem. For this instance, I just did a fresh install of 0980 on a new primary drive - so the problem appears to be vanilla. Debug & save.

There exist no local tree's, that's a lie, all tree's are common property! :D

Clearly trees are already in the local data, because everyone plays with it but only a few are missing the trees.

Guys, treat this as you would any normal bug. Start uploading your directx reports. My bet is this is a gpu or memory issue.

This should get a support ticket on the forum for itself, bug report posted as reply's to other bug's will get lost in the mess :)

It can't be a GPU/Memory issue because I had trees from server data. Switching to local data is the only case where I don't have trees. Now that we have only local data, at first it worked fine, but when I reinstalled because the game wasn't reading mods, the problem happened again. I suspect the issue is with the game not reading new files and using old xml data. But ya, it's probably not the server as I thought before.

Okay, running the game in administrator mode fixed this issue. I will update the support FAQ thread. Much ado about nothing. I must have put in 100hrs without trees thanks to a crap OS. Thanks Windows 7. Can't wait to see the new crap you sling in my mouth for Windows 8! /rage
