[952] Broken quests

The Assassins Blade quest has a confused start where you get the blade already. Then you are led through 3 combat situations, and finally you should "have the blade". There is no place to "have the blade" and the quest can't finish. Furthermore, it blocks for the starting of new quests. This was discovered using quest maps.

However, I could start (and finish) the Victory quest. As mentioned in a previous post this quest is too easy. I finished it with 5 heroes this time, at level 20, 12, 10, 9, and 8. Also the final battle with the dragonlord is somehow weird. At least I consider it a bug that you can just stand back and shoot him with arrows and he never advances. Easy kill - for the hero with a bow - the rest got it after a long battle.

End of quote

I believe if you go back to where the quest started you get the new blade.

Reload the game with the weapon unequipped but in your inventory and return to the site.  This is how I finished the quest.  I had to play around with it to figure it out.

Kill the good guy, then return.  Works for me, repeatedly.  Since this quest repeats, I now have 3 of the good blades.

Victory quest:  was hard when they had the sovie go in along, now too easy.  Expect to see more fiddling in beta 5, the "balance" pass.

I figured out in another game what was wrong. The Assassin's Blade quest is semi-broken. What I did wrong was that I gave the initial blade to another hero in the stack, i.e. not the top one. When I later return to get the blade upgraded to the Druss blade Then the game is only looking at the top hero (who gets all the loot) when exchanging the blades. If the blade is not there the quest can't complete.

As Lord Cobol says, the quest repeats which is nice but overpowering your heroes with a great weapon.
