Good Morning
Shops seem to be lacking so far. It's great that you can research different technologies and that your shop keeper is ever so willing to sell you what you've researched, but shops, imo, need a great deal more fleshing out. Here's what I propose:
- Shops need to be more organized. Currently all the items just get dumped in whatever order they happen to show up. It's a bit of a pain sorting through everything. I imagine that there should be a similar organization as to how a champ equips the items.
- Shop keepers should have a section that contains random special wares. Why should your researched items be the only things they carry? Merchants 'travel' around and pick up things along the way.
- Purchasing items in an opponents territory should cost you MORE than purchasing it at home. They got something that you don't have, but you want...it should cost you....especially since you're going to be declaring war on them on day anyways.
- Why are there only items at the shops? Merchants should deal in raw materials as well. An 'exchange' should exist where the shop keeper is willing to exchange resources, ratioed in his favor. Again, this will encourage 'if you want something bad enough you'll be willing to pay more' behaviour. So many games I'm sitting on 1000 crystal or something like that and have nothing to use it on....yet I'm scraping by on horses or metals.
- Really like that different items sell for different amounts in different nations. This should be expanded upon to include items and materials as well.
Just some thoughts....
