Off Line mode ?

It seems that today the DNS registry for services.stardock.net was 'screwed' up. During this period when I tried to run Fallen E; it complained about being unable to login and asked me to do this or that (instead of just reporting that the dns resolutions was screwed up).

This begs the question; how do we play the game when stardock network services are unavailable ?

During the beta we will need to connect to their servers. After beta no internet is required beyond optional updates. I think the servers will be up in ~1 hour.

yeah. I was hung up by this as well. Betas will be betas. I'm sure they had a good reason for it. O:)

Thankfully the final product will be connection-free. Games requiring a internet link to play is high on my pet peeve list... :hrmph:

No. Each launch beta downloads fresh xml data from stardock's servers so that numeral changes like unit cost etc. can be changed without releasing a patch.
