OMG!
I have enjoyed object dock... thought Stardock would be a decent company to produce games, until I heard of E:WOM...
Now I wonder why I would want to support a company that has released a beta... no, an ALPHA of a game, not even ready for release....
They PROMISED to make it right... and 3 years later it is still too unstable to play reliably.
Instead of fixing their problems they start making a new game, and it's still called BETA....
Will Stardock EVER produce a good game free of MAJOR defects again?
I heard about what Elemental was supposed to be like... unfortunately, since then, years have passed and now I read in the forums that Stardock is going to ABANDON their product before correcting it...
There's no way in hades I will give Stardock any more of my money when they LIED to me about fixing a program I paid for.
It's not fixed, but I read that 1.4 is the final patch (for a really long time, and that's only a maybe..)
How can I TRUST a company that has lied about sticking with it until the game is functional and stable.
It takes MODs to fix balance issues, and there's still huge unexplained crash potentials....
I think they should have stuck with OpenGL... Easier to support the Mac and Linux crowd then, and less issues over what brand of video card is supported.
Probably would lose half of the crash problems, too...
My only consolation is I didn't pay full price.
Well, that's not my only consolation... at least there's other game companies out there willing to wait to release their products long enough to squash the biggest of the bugs well enough their games don't crash before the end of the first turn.
SERIOUSLY?? 3 years and it is still crash prone? LOL
Doubt I will post here again unless Stardock releases a real fix that makes the game I paid for playable for hours without a crash... then I would come here to apologize...
How can I believe FE isn't just the next WOM?
It isn't even released yet, and people defend it as better... I await the release to see what people REALLY think.
Please finish E:WoM.... your integrity is on the line with more people than just myself... a promise is a promise.
