[.950 BUG] Changelog said outposts would have proximity minimums but I'm seeing the AI plop 3 outposts right next to each other
is that a bug?

They definitely do have proximity minimums when I build them. Wont let me build close.
and Brad ... while you're fixing this bug, write some code for the AI to more intelligently place its outposts. the reason the AI is planting three outposts right next to each other is because as soon as it sees a resource, it builds an outpost. if it had moved 1 more tile, it would have seen a more ideal placement to capture multiple resources with one outpost.
Thanks for posting, I have noticed it (the AI) spamming outposts like they're going out of style but I hadn't seen that before. I have seen two together once. Since it was once I didn't really give it another thought till now.
Good one. And surely one that needs to be fixed. I think the AI has troubles with the new flipping mechanism too. After an outpost has flipped, instead of retaking it, it sometimes builds a new one.
Yeah, has happened several times to me as well, the AI popping down outposts next to one another.

Here you go, some outposts placed waaaay too close to eachother, even saw the AI put down the second one, while the first one were up (same player). Though i'd contribute a pic of the AI putting down 2 outposts too close to eachother ![]()
