[Bug] [0.95] City detracting research from my empire!

Hi there, I have recently played a game with a custom faction that had Earth magic and the faction penalty to research (-10% research).

Now this didn't bother me really much since I thought my Sovereign would alleviate this by choosing the Scholar Perk to gain another +10% research for a total of 1% loss (or 0%, depending on how you calculate).

But I found first of all that the Scholar perk does not work whatsoever, and secondly I tried using the new spell "Set in Stone" to boost my military cities production through the roof, and crank out some soldiers and new infrastructure. But noticed something very odd about the research.

I Brought you this simple picture to show you specifically that the research generated by the city is NEGATIVE, and if I had essence in all my cities I too would have tested if I could make the research go backwards.

It actually did Deduce these 0.3 from my total amount of research points gained, and was NOT helped back up by scholar (not in the other cities as well).

Hope you get to fix this.

Edit: Forgot to put it in FE Support

Sincerely
~ Kongdej

While I understand that having negative research is upsetting, TBH its not a big deal. You are just seeing that 10% bonus push you over the edge by -0.3 research per turn.

They could cap research at zero or they could make the bonuses take the absolute value so you would have +0.3/turn instead.

I use both of the 10% research bonus traits and they work wonderful, if you are actually producing research.

If you destroy your study it will go down to -0.2/turn.

End of UmbralAngel's quote

Well it should NOT end out penalizing your empire's research rate to make one city stop researching, its like they are running around hitting scholars in the head with clubs, now this is a meagre 3 research point city too but the penalty + the enchantment does that my "Study"
enhancement in the city is effectively reducing overall research done by 0.1, and my one bonus level in the city reduces it by another 0.1...
This is not something that rolls over and kills my research, but it seems really silly.

What if I wanted to cast "Set in Stone" on 4 out of 5 cities, those 4 cities would reduce research points generated each turn by 1-2 points, that is taken from the total of the 5th city, basically stopping research whatsoever.

Now I don't know if you can go backwards too, potentially that would be very stupid ^^, but I dont have "Set in Stone" in my current game (Abandoned the last one to play premade sovereigns instead of custom ones), and the save there includes 1 town without essence.
