Turns/Moves

Hello

I have just started this game, done the tutorial 3 times. Didn't press turn once. Even when my pioneers had taken 2 of 2 moves (2/2) I was still able to move again without pressing 'turn'.

I also noticed that in the battles I never pressed 'turn' once.

So when should I be pressing 'turn' and why do we have a move counter if it doesn't do anything? Do you even have to press 'turn', what is it for??(is there anywhere we can see how many turns we have taken?)

I understand everything else (tutorial/early game), just a bit confused about the 'turn' mechanic. I have been playing similar games and if you don't press 'turn' in them, you can't do anything.

Tactical battles do not have turns, everyone goes after another (order decided by initiative).

In strategic maps, a turn is a season. By default, turns auto-end when you have no more units to move. Go to options and turn off "auto-turn" to disable this behaviour.

I think there is something called auto-turn in the game options. It's turned on as default. The same thing happens in battles. You only press the turn button if you don't want to do anything more in the turn. (Maybe you want to let a unit gaurd a certain area.)

Those sneaky options sometimes confuse us :D... I think you have a point in a notification would help clear up whenever auto-turn is ending the turn, just so newer players (and me, cause im an idiot) knows what is happening :)

In general, the game needs to wait with ending turn until you are researching techs, and building stuff in all your cities, the reason I tell you this is I feel you need to remove "auto end-turn", and would like to tell you, a new player, why ;).

Auto-turn could be scrapped and 100.1% of us wouldn't notice a thing. ;-)  AND those auto-turn queries would disappear from the forums once and for all!   Why do we need an auto-turn option anyway - as if it's so hard to click on turn to end the turn when YOU'RE ready! =)

Should just be turned off as default, I believe its very handy if you learn to play with it, and I guess someone will. ^_^
I don't mind auto-turn, I just need to play with it for a while, but it Would help if it would show some on-screen animation or something for ending a turn.

Auto turn would be annoying. When do you go do your city maintenance???

I tend to move my troops...then do city maintenance....then do strategic anaysis.

Autoturn would just get in the way of things not happening when they are suppose to.....phew....good thing there is an option to turn it off. XD

While auto-turn may be the preference of some people, I for one would like it to be off by default rather than on. I think this is the case for most games I can think of, and it really irritates me near the beginning of games before I remember to change it.

I also would prefer that the auto turn was automatically TURNED OFF as I drive a MANUAL, and somehow always crash automatics along with making holes in the driverside footwell.
