[Suggestion/Request] - Custom faction trait - Horses/wargs from cities

I'm not sure if this could fit into the new city mechanics coming in beta 4 but would be neat if you could create a custom faction that had the ability to create their own horse pasture or warg kennel in their cities without needing to find a tile in the world for this.

I'm thinking that factions with this trait would still need to do the research to unlock the building.  Call it "horselords" or "warglords" or something.

I like this, would enable cavalry based factions like Rohan when making custom maps

ohh & we could have a negative race/sov trait for all forms of cavalry like we do for 'non-archer using nations'

and maybe another trait that gives calvary starting tech?

Hmm, you know, if they just made Legacy of Serrane/warhorses work this way they would instantly have a nice, suitably overpowered way to bring Capitar back in a way that matches the overpowered abilities of the other factions. Early access to cavalry, more horses & ability to build better heavy cavalry would be pretty neat. Wouldn't even necessarily require a building (I read on another thread that the AI has trouble taking full advantage of abilities that require special buildings), just "gets x horses per turn" as if they started with one stable, or whatever.

I also like the idea of a "no cavalry" limitation, certainly that would affect my playstyle a lot more than "no ranged".

Couldn't bring back Capitar unless Umber is brought back also.  Even though it is technically similar, it is a bit different - Umber could get early wargs and say Umbran Warboars as special mounts!  (I'm pretty sure Umbran means from Umber :) ).  But one thing though - Kal-ul-kulan or whatsisname is a beastlord, and there are several monster units that come from Umber or Lady Umber so it certainly makes sense for them to get beasts early, and not just as part of Taming. :)   And wargs and Umbran Warboars would definitely be considered "beasts", and getting a non horse/non warg as a special mount would be a nice little shakeup to the usual horse/warhorse/warg! ;)   An alternative is that Umber can turn beasts that currently have special mounts already in the code, into mounts for heroes.  So if you got a Umberdroth or Mire Skath (if it is a beast) etc. it could be turned into a mount for a balanced amount of whatever resource (maybe training time too).

What do other people think?

Oh, no way was I neglecting Umber, it's more that something sparked in my brain that there would be a nice fit with Capitar, since warhorses are already their "thing" and they're in dire need of more interesting abilities (whereas Umber were already interesting & powerful). But I would never advocate bringing back one without the other.

I really like the idea of Umber getting a lot of beasts, especially the boars, and they're in need of some new identity now that Serpent's Pact is gone - I don't particularly like them having Master Scouts since it's such a core part of Tarth's identity, would much rather they had some unique beast/mount related abilities. The Greenskins in Heavenfall's mod have some neat abilities along these lines - warboar mounts and special abilities using their bond with them - maybe Stadock could borrow some ideas from there.

wow an Umberdroth mount would be just too cool, sorta reminds me of Garrett on Langrisser (warsong) after you lvl him up to the dinosaur mount = extreme defence, this alone would make any hero twice as fearsome if you got to keep the offensive capabilities of the beast as well
