Program crash

Well into game, tatical screen comes up, complete battle, take next turn, tatical battle screen cued - answer OK, game locks up. Save, restore, same outcome. Small game paremeters.

Hi there, you may want to upload the "Debug.err" next time you run into a crash. It will help finding the correct debugging information for the developers to help fix the bug that crashes the game, I am happy to see you hit the right forum sub-section (I had some trouble with that )

another problem! In tatical battle, some times game does not allow to bypass next combatant, Only way to overcome is to do auto play. this is frustating as ti causes the use of resources that I don't want to use.

Also, how do I start the debug function from within the program.

You don't have to do anything. The program automatically produces them. Just follow the excellent link Kongdej provided & that tells you where to look, what to look for , & how to send it.

I am not sure what the problem is, if you are standing next to an opponent, then moving to another square that opponent can attack (melee range) then you will use up all your movement.
This is as to give your melee fighters some way to "block" the path so your archers can be safe.
