Ship spacing (nose to nose) and group movement bug

This may be something that someone brought up in the past and it may be something that cannot be changed, but I wanted to mention it anyway. I notice ships in combat flying up to their enemy and sitting nose to nose while opening fire and returning fire. I wanted to suggest that human and AI range is adjusted to include a little more distance.
Also, I found a possible bug when I group ships together for movement. All of them jump together except one.
