[0.915][BUG] Pathfinding woes

Cliff/coastal tiles with roads muck up path-finding as shown in the screenshot that I took immediately after I right-clicked on the destination below. The army likes to move beside the roads instead. Unfortunately, because of minor path-finding mishaps in other places (which I will try and continue to post), I click one-step moves all the time, making path-finding useless for me.

Looks like the pathfinding algorithm doesn't consider the first diagonal movement to be valid. Hopefully this one is easy to fix. Also, if they just showed the path before movement, we would be able to avoid this and other pitfalls. It's hazardous to move more than one square at a time if there are monsters or enemies around, since you have no indication which direction your stack will take. With GalCiv this wasn't an issue as you knew you'd be flying pretty straigth as there was no terrain.

I've found that the pathfinding is mainly good, but has a tendancies to place too high a preference on finishing on outposts (I think it does the same to resources, but outposts are high priority).

If you notice in the screen shot, it's set itself up to move through the outpost.  this is fine after you research roads to outposts, but until then, I always be careful and only move in straight lines.  either perfect diagonals, or perfect vertical, or pefect horizontal.  that way i can keep them on the road.

Here's an annoying pathfinding bug for you.

I've found that if I have two armies on a road, one army will step off the road and try to move around the other army thus losing its movement points.  If I move manually, I can move through the other army and stay on the road.

Doh, beat me to it! I second this. Really aggravating to have your own army try to pathfind around your own other army, especially when the army sizes are each one hero.

I think there's some bad english in the previoust statement...
